March in the studio + out in community!

Wow, it’s spring!
Here in Maine as I write this, I’m bundled up in a wool sweater, looking at a bloom from a bulb we put in water, it smells so lovely and also seems unreal (like the coming of spring!). We are going to ease into this new season with some gorgeous + fun spring collage with painted papers:)
Please see below notes, and we hope to see you soon! – Christina

Here’s what is happening in (+ out) of the studio this month:

> our public art popping up powerfully traveling and out-n-about, art that we co-created with the children! Our public art FOOD can (+ spoon) is out collecting mac n’ cheese for our community partner the Locker Project, to send home food for children in Portland over school break. This project aims for children to be engaged as artist change-makers, responding to the idea that food for all is a human right and no child should go hungry.
The can is –  traveling + collecting! First, Friends School of Portland launched it into the world, next – Wayneflete (March 19 – 24) next – Maine Coast Waldorf (March 25 – April 3).
If you want to be part of this effort, follow and support The Locker Project, you can also drop off boxes of mac n’ cheese to the studio while the can is out, and keep in touch.
