We support you with tools + projects to honor your individual child

    art collaborations & partnerships

We work as artists to co-create a better and more just world.

To honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr and the work we still have to do, Portland City Councilman Pious Ali reads  WE MARCH, a children’s book by Artist and Author Shane Evans (shaneevans.com). This book is based upon the march on Washington in August 1963, where Martin Luther King delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech. Councilman Ali says to all children in this video: “Everyone of you is unique and beautiful in your own way. You are the future of this country and this world. You and we have to find a way to respect, love, and work with each other.”

This is a site to follow! I am personally so grat This is a site to follow! I am personally so grateful for incredible collaborators over my career who have taught be so much about how to work with others. Much of this list repeats! But always acknowledging , good and healthy and loving communication and understanding are a part of it. Amazing lessons from the worlds of Service Leaning, community organizing, activist strategies, social sculpture and co-creation, collaborative leadership work, so many amazing community partner and student collaborators and more. When this stuff comes into the workplace and studio it can help make amazing work happen, and we as artist organizers and artists collaborators practice this way all the time! If something feels unhealthy in your work environment, it might be that one of these things (or a list of others) or basic trust building and support isn’t happening. Stay on it everyone. ❤️ #Repost @decentertheteacher with @get_repost ・・・ Sometimes the challenges before us seem too massive than we can ever conquer. What do we really look like? This is a portrait of What do we really look like? This is a portrait of me (Christina B) by a young child. I often wear a head scarf and a jumper dress and only in my dreams look this hip!!! The child next to me according to the artist is giving a puppet show! I have handmade animals and dolls at the studio and in my art classes so that is what they are using. PS getting ready to write an email update for our summer camps, they are on!!! If you need to get on the list for updates go to “contact” page and fill out the form.
