What: Grown-ups will be discussing the book, “Rest, Play, Grow”. We welcome babes in arms and young children, especially if you think they will be able to play or sit nearby while parents chat and discuss. We will have a creative activity and play for children that need to come with parent.
Are you interested in learning more about the role attachment plays in child development?Some of our community has experienced looking at child development through the lens of attachment through participating in the Neufeld Institute courses with Laina Clugston at the Heartfelt School. Even if you haven’t, this book group can be a step to learning more.
If you’d like to learn more about the role attachment plays in raising healthy children please join us in reading and discussing the book Rest Play Grow by Deborah Macnamara. Come to relax, share and listen with open hearts as we explore together the joys and trials of parenting. Please purchase the book in advance or borrow through library. It is available at the Neufeld Institute as well as Amazon.
Who: Facilitated by Ursula Wilmont, in partnership with Heartfelt School and Love Lab Studio.
Cost: $15 per grown-up (includes with your child if needed, each additional child $7), $60 for series. If you can donate more to support folks who can’t afford this, we welcome it. Includes facilitation, child play if needed, warm tea and creative materials. For this workshop we can do sliding scale, please let us know if you need help with that! We also ask if you have the means to chip in more, please consider doing that to help those that can not afford this fee and to support this ongoing work. Thank you!
When: Fridays, 9:30 – 11am / January 11th – February 1st (4 times meeting)
A FEW DETAILS
Please bring a cozy pair of slippers if you have them (socks are OK too!) to wear in our studio. We keep it cozy warm, but always recommend a little sweater in the winter. Prior to starting class, each student/grown-up must sign in studio and return our student info sheet packet (includes media form, release form, and other important info).
