Join us for one of our sweet art afternoons : wonderful art Wednesdays in the studio! (4 sessions) January theme: SUN, MOON + STARS!
Who: Children ages 4 – 8
Teaching Team: Christina Mesevage + Christina Bechstein
What: In this little creative fun child drop-off after school workshop, we will explore different fun and poetic themes and mediums, creating individual and collaborative art work! For Januarys session, it will be all about the magical theme of sun, moon and stars. We’ll do lots of different creative art mediums, including but not limited to wool felting, sculpture, painting and drawing.
Cost: $25 per session, $100 total + includes 2 teachers, and all the amazing materials! Please let us know if you need sliding scale to attend, so we can support you. And if you can chip in extra to help another child attend, please do and thank you.
Where: At the studio – Love Lab Studio @ 26 Brackett Street, Portland Maine
When: Wednesday afternoons, 3:30 – 5 pm / (4 wk session!) Wednesday Jan 9, Jan 16, Jan 23, Jan 30. Note: some children because of school dismissal need to come at 3:45 – no problem, please just let us know and we can adjust accordingly.
Final art show: For this class we will have a final celebration and display our work for Friday, Feb 1st for First Friday, 4 – 6 pm!
SOME DETAILS
Children are dropped off at 3:30. Please have a little snack before you arrive! We won’t have snacks for this workshop, but we will do water/tea breaks as needed. For the final 4 class series we will have a little celebration at the end to honor our creative works.
Things helpful to bring: For children please bring a water bottle (we have cups for water too), a little sweater, and a cozy pair of slippers if you have them (socks are OK too) to wear in our studio. We will have 1 make-up class available if needed for children, plus we’ll add an additional make-up week if needed, incase we have a snow day OR children get sick! In the event you need to cancel, we will only keep 20% of processing fee if needed, if notified two weeks prior to the start of the workshop, or you can easily switch to another workshop in the future. Sibling discount taken when you choose 2 children, for a 1/2 off discount for 2nd child. Prior to starting class, each student caregiver must sign and return our student info sheet packet (includes media form, release form, and other important info). For snow days and missed classes, we will have a make-up day available! Price includes all materials!
