Home-made playdough – set of 3 chunks
Our fun, smooth + squishy studio play dough is made by a fellow mom with care, right here in Portland Maine! Our all-natural wheat flour playdough is super soft and lasts a super long time, especially if you keep it in an airtight container. Simple and bright, we use all-natural colors, for instance, our yellows are made with turmeric. The dough comes in small plastic bags, then we ask you to recycle these (or make them into art!) and put your dough in an airtight container so your child can get lots of open-ended play + fun in! Read on for details of different add-ons!
Here are some add-ons to put in your order, to get you all stocked up. We wrap add-ons up in fun strips of cloth (that you can reuse into art projects!):
+ Add on: play bag for clay + dough $12 (SOLD OUT, will be back in stock end of May)
We have a changing mix of sweet fun little things to play with your clay or dough. Pull it out each time you work with your clay/dough and build your own basket or working sculpture box: rolling pin, tiny wood bowl, seashell, wood balls (big + small), cutting sticks + forest stick in a little cotton or wool bag (all made in Maine)
+ Add on: little cute working mat $4
We LOVE this little working mat, sized just right to pull it out and put on the table or counter for clay and dough work. For our littlest friends, you could even put it on a cookie sheet OR tape it to the table so it won’t slip off!
+ Add on: beeswax brilliant bee coloring crayons (set of 24) $13
This is one of several of our favorite crayons to use in the studio! We like to peel off the labels, to really help hand grip and get right to work. The colors are super bright on all surfaces/colors, and because they are triangles. One other thing we love is that these non-toxic crayons are triangles so they don’t roll away when you work. Save the cute. box too for storing or making more art of them. Set of 24.
+ Add on: rainbow sparkly watercolor (set of 12) $12
These are the sparkly, pearlescent watercolors everyone loves from our studio. You get 12 blendable watercolors, and children can mix them if they want in the lid. These watercolors also work great on darker papers, like recycled papers and boards. We’ve found that these last a long time. We also use them to paint air dry clay, and sticks!
+ Add on: bright neon-y watercolor (set of 12) $12
These are neon, super-bright, watercolors that we also love in our studio. You get 12 watercolors, and children can mix them if they want in the lid. These watercolors also work especially great on darker papers, like recycled papers and boards. We’ve found that these last a long time. We also use them to paint air dry clay, and sticks!
+ Add on: thick watercolor paper (15 sheets) $13
This is a pad of thickly textured watercolor paper, at 160 lb. You can paint right on it, or peel off paper and paint separately. It’s also acid-free, which we love – so it’s an artist-grade quality and that means your masterpieces will last, and the paper won’t change.
